Should Barbie be blue or pink?? Please let me know.
My concentration theme relvolves around the pressure from the media to look perfect. It is something that everyone is affected by, even if it isn't a large pressure in their life. I have felt this for my whole life, so it is something that is very personal. I will portray this by using value, contrast, point of view, light, and color.

Concentration Update
I wasn't able to take any new pictures this week. However, I was able to come up with ideas of photos to take this weekend. During this class, I have been playing around with the color on my dyptics. I am thinking of making the color much more dramatic in the "perfect" photos. The photo above is not finished AT ALL, but it is the direction that I am currently deciding on going.

Week 2
This week, I played around with using dyptics. I am using color to portray the way that the media portrays what life should be. Black and white is used to portray what reality is or what reality has become because of the media. This weekend, I will be retaking pictures with different lighting (like the candy one) and taking new pictures as well.

Here are some more pictures that I took this week. I am thinking of doing dyptics where one photo is how the media portrays life and the other how life really is. The media life will be portrayed in color and the real world will be in black and white (obviously, I have to switch the color of some of the images above). This color change emphasises on the idea that compared to TV and magazines, everyday life seems boring. After being exposed to this idea enough, people start to believe it.

Concentration.
Last weekend, I didn't take any pictures. Instead, I planned out what I will take photos of and how I'll do it. I will be using some photos from my Photostory collection in my concentration because they have the same theme. Some of the photos are shown twice because they appear in a group. I am deciding on whether or not to show them individually or in the groups shown.
